Eat and Drink: Rider Cafe
Posted by Amy Bensema | May 28, 2016
Rider Cafe is a little gem on Yaowarat Road in Phuket Town. Nestled amongst the hustle and bustle, the cafe is open-air and quite popular with the local expat crowd and wandering tourist.
The cafe is run by local Swedish expat, Teddy Fagerstrom, and his Thai partner. Most people who see Teddy never forget him - he's tall with a long beard, rides a Harley Davidson and plays guitar in a variety of fantastic local rock and blues bands. Don't let his height scare you off. Teddy is an extremely nice gentleman, and he knows how to operate a successful cafe.
Around town, Rider Cafe is famous for its delicious burgers, strong coffee and excellent, fresh cakes. The menu at Rider Cafe is quite varied. It features a lot of Western fare as well as a number of Thai dishes. The cafe boasts a full drink list including wine, cocktails and beers.
Rider Cafe is closed on Mondays, but open every other day of the week from 10:00am until 23:00pm. Some might be happy to know that the cafe offers free Wi-Fi.
