Attractions: Bon Island

Bon Island is just a short longtail boat ride away, and is truly one of Phuket's little gems. A small island located south of Rawai Beach, a trip to Bon Island is the perfect getaway.
Covered in dense, verdant vegetation, Bon Island is home to a rocky cove and two white sand beaches. Although relatively close, a day on Bon Island seems like light years away from Phuket.
Bon Island Restaurant is situated between the two beaches on the island, and is run by a longtime expat. The restaurant features thatched, bamboo seating areas and serves up a wide variety of classic Thai favourites. The restaurant is open daily from 10:00am until 17:00pm, weather permitting.
If you are interested in going to Bon Island for the day, it's best to chat to the longtail boat drivers along Rawai Beach as they will give you the fairest deal to and from the island. A trip to Bon Island makes for a fun day out, and the food at the restaurant is also exceptional.
