Attractions: Phuket Bird Park

Phuket Bird Park is based on an expansive plot of land in Chalong that twists and turns through the hills. It features well-manicured grounds, lovely gardens and hundreds of vibrant tropical birds from all around the world.

The entrance to Phuket Bird Park is very Disney-esque ... visitors are treated to an idyllic setting of a long wooden bridge, indigenous masks and instruments and many beautiful, colourful butterflies darting about. The paths are long and winding, into the hills, and are covered by lots of large trees, bushes and beautiful flowers.

There is a very large variety of birds at Phuket Bird Park including African crowned cranes, wreathed hornbills, Nicobar pigeons, ostriches and emus. There are also turkeys, chickens and Siamese pheasants. Although most of the birds are caged, they do have plenty of room to move about as the cages are both very wide and very high.

Phuket Bird Park offers shows three times daily in their amphitheater which are fun, educational and also a bit baffling. The only clue we will give you is that these birds are extremely smart!

Phuket Bird Park is open daily from 9:00am - 5:00pm. Entrance fee for adults is 500 baht while children can enter for 300 baht. Daily shows are at 10:30, 1:30 and 3:30.
