Bang Tao lies on the northwest coast of Phuket, alongside the sub-district of Cherngtalay, and is the location of one of the longest beaches on the island.
Mai Khao, the longest beach in Phuket, boasts 11 km of pristine sands in Sirinat National Park, providing a peaceful escape from urban bustle.

Chalong is mainly a residential and business area (diving), the dwelling choice for many expats, as well as locals.
The beach towns of Rawai and Nai Harn hold a certain charm about them.
